A periodic review of safety precautions in TB 385-4, Safety Precautions for Maintenance of Elec-
trical/Electronic Equipment, is recommended. When the equipment is operated with covers
r e m o v e d , DO NOT TOUCH exposed connections or components. MAKE CERTAIN you are not
grounded when making connections or adjusting components inside the test instrument.
TRICHLOROTRIFLUOROETHANE
Adequate ventilation should be provided while using TRICHLOROTRIFLUOROETHANE. Prolonged
breathing of vapor should be avoided. The solvent should not be used near heat or open flame;
t h e p r o d u c t s o f d e c o m p o s i t i o n a r e t o x i c a n d i r r i t a t i n g . Since' TRICHLOROTRIFLUOROETHANE
d i s s o l v e s natural oils, prolonged contact with skin should be avoided. When necessary, use
gloves which the solvent cannot penetrate. If the solvent is taken internally, consult a physician
immediately.
