This manual describes direct and general support maintenance for Power Supply PP-4763/GRC
and

PP-4763A/GRC.
It
includes
instructions
for
troubleshooting,
repairing,
and
testing the equipment. It also lists all the tools, test equipment, and materials needed for
maintenance.

NOTE
In this manual, Power Supplies PP-4763/GRC and PP-4763A/GRC are refer-
red to as power supply (*). Specific models are identified by unit
nomenclature, without the GRC designation.

Department of the Army forms and procedures used for equipment maintenance will be those prescribed
by TM 38-750, The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
1-3. DESTRUCTION OF ARMY MATERIEL TO PREVENT ENEMY USE
Destruction of Army electronics materiel to prevent enemy use shall be in accordance with TM
750-244-2.

1 - 6 . EQUIPMENT CHARACTERISTICS, CAPABILITIES AND FEATURES
The power supplies function in the same way. Both provide a dc power source for communica-
tions equipment, or for any type of load with similar power requirements.
PP-4763 converts 115 volts alternating current (at) to direct current (de) at a selected regulated
voltage.
P P - 4 7 6 3 A converts either 115 or 230 volts alternating current (at) to direct current (de) at a
selected regulated voltage.
