To determine friction torque, thread the nut onto the screw or bolt
until at least two threads protrude. The nut shall not make contact
with a mating part. Stop the nut. The torque necessary to begin
turning the nut again is the breakaway torque. Do not reuse self-
locking nuts that do not meet minimum friction torque.
