b. OVP Module Adjustment Procedures. The following procedures
should be performed before installing a replacement OVP module. It
may also be used to test a suspected OVP module malfunction. See

adjusted because of limited de-de converter adjust-
ment ranges. The following procedure should be
used only for troubleshooting or to set the trip
point of a replacement OVP.
Use
(1)
(2)
Start with power supply output of O V, slowly increase
voltage while observing voltmeter reading. Note point at
which voltage suddenly drops.
If trip point for OPV module under test differs from speci-
(3)
fication listed in table 6-2, adjust potentiometer on OVP
module clockwise to increase trip-point voltage, or counter-
clockwise to decrease trip-point voltage.
(4)
Return power supply voltage to 0 V to allow OVP module
recovery.
Repeat steps (2), (3), and (4) until correct trip-point
(5)
voltage is obtained.
Place drop of red glyptol (item 28, App. D) on OVP module
(6)
potentiometer shaft to prevent turning or accidental
adjustment during routine procedures.
Install OVP module in power supply; check and adjust voltage
(7)
of corresponding converter module as necessary.
